Description
The right size for the right space
Most industrial environments that need HMI capability also have space constraints. The FPM-8000M is built around that reality: at 230.3×177.3×50.5mm and 1.7KG, it installs in machine enclosures, panel doors, and equipment housings where 15.6″ or 21.5″ panels would require mechanical redesign or simply don’t fit. The display runs at 800×600 (SVGA) standard — consistent with the resolution requirements of most legacy and current industrial HMI platforms — with an optional 1024×768 (XGA) configuration for applications that need higher resolution headroom.
Built for the conditions that end standard hardware
IP65-rated front panel. Fanless aluminium design. Operating range 0°C to 60°C, storage range −30°C to 70°C — the widest storage temperature range in the DNR Touch panel PC lineup. Chemical resistance to oils and cleaning agents. ATEX/explosion-proof version available (confirm with DNR Touch for availability on the FPM-8000M). Front-access maintenance means the unit can be serviced without removing it from the enclosure.
Touch configured for compact industrial use
The FPM-8000M ships with either a 5-wire resistive touchscreen (78% transmittance, >5 million activations, glove and stylus compatible) or P-CAP multi-touch (>85% transmittance, 7H hardness, ≥50 million touch cycles). In a compact panel PC where the operator interface is often used in gloved hands or in contaminated environments, the resistive option is frequently the right choice. P-CAP is available for applications requiring gesture-based or bare-skin precision interaction.
Three CPUs — simplified selection
Unlike the larger FPM panel PCs with 14 processor options, the FPM-8000M offers three — all practical choices for compact HMI applications:
- J1900 — Entry-level HMI and legacy-compatible control panels. DDR3L-1333MHz, up to 8GB RAM. The standard choice for basic PLC communication and display-only applications.
- J6412 — Mid-range automation and data logging. DDR4-3200MHz, up to 32GB RAM. The recommended default for most current industrial deployments.
- N97 — Up to 3.60GHz burst, DDR4-3200MHz, up to 16GB RAM. For more demanding computation in a compact form factor — light vision processing, multi-protocol SCADA.
Connectivity for compact deployments
1× USB 3.0, 3× USB 2.0, 2× GbE RJ45 (Intel i210-AT), 2× COM RS-232/485, 1× HDMI, 1× Audio. Optional 6× COM for high-density serial deployments. Mini-PCIe slots for 3G/4G and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth expansion. DC 9–36V 2-pin Phoenix connector — confirm connector compatibility with your enclosure power supply before specifying.
