The FPM-1201M combines the two toughest environmental specs in the DNR Touch panel PC range: 500 cd/m² display brightness (the highest in the lineup) and −20°C to 70°C operating range (matched only by the 10.1″ FPM-1001M). For outdoor-adjacent, high-ambient-light, and cold-environment industrial installations, this is the specification that qualifies when others don’t. IP65, fanless, DC 9–36V, 14 Intel CPU options. The brightest display in the range — at the coldest operating temperature
The FPM-1201M holds two range-best specs simultaneously: 500 cd/m² brightness (the highest of any panel PC in the DNR Touch lineup) and −20°C to 70°C operating range (matched only by the FPM-1001M at 10.1″). For outdoor-adjacent installations where strong natural light washes out standard displays, for cold-chain facilities where other panel PCs simply don’t operate, and for environments that combine both challenges — strong ambient light and low temperatures — this is the panel PC that qualifies when the 15.6″ and 21.5″ models don’t.
50,000-hour lifespan — the longest in the range
At 50,000 hours of rated backlight lifespan — the highest in the DNR Touch panel PC lineup — the FPM-1201M is built for permanent installations that run continuously without scheduled replacement. Combined with the fanless design (no moving parts to wear out) and the IP65-sealed front panel, this is a unit specified for longevity, not convenience.
1024×768 — the industrial HMI standard
The 12.1″ display runs at 1024×768 (XGA) with 16.7M colours. For industrial HMI applications built on legacy SCADA and control software, XGA is the native resolution — specifying FHD (1920×1080) for a platform that was designed at XGA wastes processing overhead without improving readability. For buyers building on modern HMI platforms that support higher resolutions, the FPM-1106M (11.6″ FHD, 190 PPI) or the FPM-1506M (15.6″ FHD) may be better fits.
Two touch options for demanding environments
5-wire resistive: 78% transmittance, 10 million click lifespan with 250g force, glove and stylus compatible. P-CAP multi-touch: >85% transmittance, 7H hardness. The resistive option’s 10 million click lifespan is double the 5 million spec seen on the 8″ and 15.6″ models — consistent with the FPM-1001M (10.1″), the other cold-environment model in the range.
