The WB140 is a 14″ FHD a-Si TFT-LCD module at just 2.8mm depth — the thinnest in the DNR Touch module range, designed for notebook PC, compact industrial HMI, and slim-form-factor OEM integration. eDP 1.2 interface (2.7Gbps/2-lane). Two brightness variants: WB140-M176L (240–270 cd/m²) and WB140-M437H (250–280 cd/m²) for procurement flexibility. On-board LED driver and EDID chip for simplified integration. MOQ 10. Description

2.8mm — the thinnest in the range

The WB140 is 2.8mm deep — the thinnest TFT LCD module in the DNR Touch lineup. For comparison: the WB116 (11.6″) is 4.5mm, the WB156 (15.6″) is 4.9mm, the WB133 (13.3″) is 7.3mm. The 2.8mm z-depth opens integration options that thicker modules close: ultra-slim notebook chassis, compact industrial HMI bezels, and OEM enclosures with tight internal clearance. At 315.87×186.13mm overall dimensions and 309.3×173.99mm active area, the WB140 fits the standard 14″ notebook-class form factor directly.

 

Integration simplified — on-board LED driver and EDID

Unlike modules that require an external LED backlight driver circuit, the WB140 has the LED driver built in. The on-board EDID chip stores display configuration data that the host system reads at startup — eliminating manual configuration and reducing the integration work required for plug-and-play deployment. For engineers integrating into notebook motherboards, compact industrial controllers, or OEM hardware platforms, both features reduce BOM complexity and board real estate.

 

Two variants — same footprint, procurement flexibility

Both WB140 variants share the same 315.87×186.13mm footprint, 2.8mm depth, eDP 1.2 interface, and display specifications. The WB140-M176L is rated at 240–270 cd/m²; the WB140-M437H at 250–280 cd/m². Both are indoor-use brightness levels suitable for notebook, HMI, and standard commercial display environments. Specify either variant based on availability and procurement preference — the design will accept both interchangeably.

 

Integration notes for hardware engineers

Drives via eDP 1.2 at 2.7Gbps/2-lane, 3.3V supply. On-board LED driver (single bar, down side, horizontal direction). On-board EDID chip. 30ms response time (Tr+Td) at 60Hz, normally black panel. 45% NTSC colour gamut — standard for cost-effective notebook-class displays where colour accuracy is not the primary specification requirement. For colour-critical applications, consider the WB156 (15.6″, 90% NTSC) or WB133 (13.3″, 72% NTSC) instead.
