Overview

WB215-M183L is a color active matrix TFT LCD MDL using amorphous silicon TFT’s(Thin Film Transistors) as an active switching devices. This Open Cell has a 21.5 inch diagonally measured active area with FHD resolutions (1920 horizontal by 1080 vertical pixel array). Each pixel is divided into RED, GREEN, BLUE dots which are arranged in vertical stripe and this module can display 16.7M colors. The TFT LCD panel is adapted for a low reflection and higher color type.

Description

14ms response — the fastest in the module range

At 14ms total response time (Tr+Td), the WB215 matches the WB185 as the fastest module in the DNR Touch lineup. For applications where motion blur or display latency matters — fast-changing HMI data, interactive kiosk interfaces, or security monitoring feeds — 14ms is the specification that separates this from the 25–30ms eDP modules in the range.

300 nit standard or 900–1000 nit high-brightness — same family, wider screen

WB215-M410L (270–300 cd/m²) suits controlled indoor environments. WB215-M410H (900–1000 cd/m²) is specified for high-ambient-light and outdoor-adjacent deployments — the same brightness positioning as the WB185 and WB238 siblings, at 21.5. Both variants share the same 476.064×267.786mm active area and LVDS interface.

HADS wide-angle technology — 89° in all directions

HADS (High Aperture-ratio Drive Scheme) delivers 89°/89°/89°/89° viewing angles with minimal colour shift at extreme angles. For large shared-view displays — security monitoring walls, multi-operator HMI panels, and public-facing terminals — 89° at this screen size means readability across a wide floor area.

Integration notes — 5V, LVDS, and depth

The WB215 operates from a 5V supply — confirm against your power supply specification before finalising the BOM. Interface is 30-pin dual-channel LVDS (2ch, 8-bit). Overall dimensions: 509×297.5×6.2mm. RoHS compliant. No onboard backlight driver — LED controller must be provided by the host system.
