The FPM-1700M is the 17-inch SXGA panel PC for industrial installations built around the 1280×1024 legacy format — wider than standard 4:3, taller than 16:9, and native to the SCADA and HMI platforms configured for this resolution through the 2000s and 2010s. 89°/89° viewing angles (the widest in the panel PC range), IP65, fanless, DC 9–36V. The 17″ SXGA format — still running on thousands of factory floors
The 17-inch 1280×1024 (SXGA) display was the dominant large-format industrial HMI screen size through the 2000s and into the 2010s. Automation installations, SCADA workstations, and CNC machine interfaces were specced around this format when it was the standard for “large” industrial displays. The FPM-1700M runs 1280×1024 natively, fits the same 17-inch panel cutouts as the displays it replaces, and slots into existing SCADA configurations without resolution reconfiguration.
89° viewing angles — the widest in the range
The FPM-1700M’s 89°/89° horizontal and vertical viewing angles are the widest in the DNR Touch panel PC lineup. For shared-view applications — control room displays visible to multiple operators, wall-mounted monitoring stations, or HMI panels in open factory environments where the screen needs to be readable from a wide range of approach angles and heights — 89° means readable from virtually any position without colour shift or contrast degradation.
Built for the conditions that end standard hardware
IP65-rated front panel, fanless aluminium design, 0°C to 60°C operating range. Chemical resistance to oils and cleaning agents. ATEX/explosion-proof version available. Front-access maintenance — no cabinet disassembly required. Modular component design. M12 industrial connectors. PROFINET and EtherCAT protocol support. 4× USB 3.0 + 2× USB 2.0, 2× GbE RJ45, 2× COM RS-232/485, HDMI, DC 9–36V.
14 CPU options — from entry HMI to 12th Gen Core i7
Full CPU selection guide applies — same generational groupings as all other FPM models with 14 processor options. The 17″ form factor and SXGA resolution make this a natural fit for legacy SCADA replacement (J6412 or legacy i-series) or for forward-specced control stations running modern SCADA on current-generation CPUs (11th/12th Gen i5/i7).
